How to Take Care of the Hygiene of Glass

Glass is considered as one of the most hygienically clean surfaces used on the exteriors and interiors. It is easy to maintain and clean, durable, non-fading material that can have fast colors. Practically this solid material provides a safe environment for the growth of fungus and bacteria. But they can help in spreading infections caused by the microbes, including viruses and bacteria, developed on them from the surroundings to humans, whether they are used on exteriors or interiors. In this situation, it becomes important to take care of hygiene glass.

Is a glass hygienically clean?

Microbes, also known as pathogens, can cause various types of infectious diseases which can be controlled by slowing down their growth on the internal surfaces including glass. In order to get hygiene glass, you must understand its surface.

Normally it is considered that an ordinary glass ensures clarity, cleanability, and visibility but these promises are not kept by it due to different properties of its surface, like:

Roughness: Microscopically the surface of ordinary glass is not absolutely plain and even. You can see potholes and peaks on the surface of a glass when you put it under a microscope. The pathogens and microbes including viruses and bacteria can find a place to hide on the glass in these potholes.

Reactive: The surface of your glass attracts organic contaminants from the environment and holds them to work as nutrients required for the growth of the microbes found on it.

Attract water: A glass surface also attracts moisture and holds it to help in the survival and growth of microbes.

So, due to these factors is it not easy to get a hygiene glass. You cannot properly clean and disinfect a damp and dirty surface of glass unless you use some specific glass cleaning solution.
